Diploma in Medical Records Technology

A medical Record Department is a place where the records of patients are usually stored, maintained and retrieved. The main role of every medical record department is to provide health information services. Also it caters the clinical academic, legal and administrative requirements of the institution. Other functions are :

• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of medical records.
• Coding and indexing of diagnosis and procedures using international classification of diseases and procedures.
• Maintain birth, death and medicolegal registers and give necessary information to Government Agencies.
• Develop statistical and other informative reports.
• Guide the medical staff in maintaining medical records.
• Monitoring the quality of medical records.

Diploma In Optometry (DOOT) 10 Seats

Criteria for admission  :  Merit basis only, only female students are admitted.

Highlights  :  Candidate is trained in basic human sciences, nursing methods and importance of value education during the first year. In the second year they are trained in different aspects of refraction, eye theater and OPD procedures, and about common ocular diseases. Third year of the course is exclusively for practical training only.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology: 11 Seats

Criteria for admission  :  Merit basis only, only female students are admitted.

The students are trained in different aspects of laboratory including Bio Chemistry, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Histopathology and Blood Banking.

Diploma in Anaesthesia Technology. (DAT)

Criteria for admission  :  Merit basis only, male and female students are admitted.

Highlights  :  Anaesthetic technicians are mainly employed by anaesthetic departments or operating theater suites, but can be found in other areas of clinical practice including Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Units (ICU) and Day Surgery Clinics.
